Lately I have been stuck with a very slow laptop and notice that I am using more and more the phone to access websites and platforms that I use to do via the laptop.

Example of this was this forum that I had problems writing on my laptop and now switch to the phone and stay to browse through it.

I am curious to know what device you use the most for web consumption or if is 50/50 between computer and mobile phone.

My desktop computer is still the most comfortable and also more efficient device for searches, as I can sit at a desk, and take notes as well. I have a system with NotePad as well.

I find the phone a little clumsy at times, but yes, agreed, I find myself using it more too, but because of cost however, I am on a package that doesn’t include data, i.e. I only do searches with WiFi at home. The clumsy part is that I have to fiddle around with enlarging photos, and it’s just not the same with YouTube as well. I’m getting more experienced at using it, but am still more comfortable with my desktop computer. Not only of the computer, but the total search package consisting of computer on a desk with Notepad on the computer and also hard copy notepad, pen and pencil. I like to write down key words from time to time, just to be able to refer back to it some times.

I am finding myself using the smartphone more often to access the web. Doing almost 75% of the stuff through the phone nowadays.

I still find myself using more the phone just for pure necessity but I am expecting to check a new laptop and see if I can use more to do the majority of the tasks. I can see in the future maybe a combination of both and even the phone becoming more and more powerful and manage everything

As of now some companies have made their own apps so that people can work from home using their mobile. They also keep track of the employees using their app. Most companies still require people to use laptop or desktop, but we can expect them to shift to mobile based apps in the future.

I agree I think things will start to shift and desktop and laptops to catch up they probably use the same technologies like ARM chips. I am very excited about what Apple is doing with the new M1 macs that bring apps from mobile to laptop as well. I think that will be a good future bridge

Its good as well as sad to hear Apple going back from Intel. Good for Apple, but bad for Intel.

Intel is not innovating like it was before. Even AMD is becoming better with small chips.

On the time of the powerpc, Apple switch to intel for the same reason speed of innovation and intel was much better then.
